i get that error everyday and sometimes multiple times per day.

only who can fix boxcar is pang (and tc but he ain't allowed to touch boxcar's code) and he won't fix it.

MD members get that multiple times per day as well.

Marshal I don't think that is correct. Qz hosts boxcar on his server now and I believe has full access to the code.

yes he has access to code but bc code is so messed/different that he can't fix it so pang (and tc if he would be allowed) is only person capable to fix it.

Marshal no offense but you don't know what you're talking about. This started happening after qz migrated ee, evo gt, and boxcar to a different server. Go spam your post count somewhere else buddy!

but pang is the only one allowed to touch the boxcar codes unless he allows qz to modify it... even if qz hosts boxcar, he doesn't touch it's code...

yes I do know, Qz has said many times that bc's code is so different that he doesn't understand it.

Qz hosts boxcar (made by pang and tc originally) but doesn't change anything in there (outside passes (tool provided by pang) and some minor fixes (and fixing database isn't minor thing to do)).

if qz would be capable to fix boxcar he would fix it but he isn't so bc doesn't get fixed.

boxcar, evo's site and game aren't migrated, qz hosts all 3 (and made last 2) but that's it.

boxcar started bugging after it got moved to qz's server and it has gotten worse since then and prolly gets worse until its unusable.

marshal, you're most certainly not correct on a few items.

1) qz should know how to fix it (or has the skills to look into it and fix it); he just chooses not to. he wouldn't be able to operate EE if he didn't have this skillset/it was too difficult for him. it's just annoying to work with because it's not structured well. same as evo's site but he doesn't feel he has to support/have the familiarity with Boxcar like he does evo's site, which is understandable.
2) I don't believe tc would be able to help anywhere near as much as qz; please stop claiming he would. his contribution to Boxcar was the data for the scores/ranks db and some country search queries, choosing to use that was a mistake I made that haunts all of you and even created the vulnerability that was exploited by RD.
3) the db issue is probably RAM in the image; Boxcar needs a TON of RAM for queries (see point 2; sub point- > horrible database design for a read-oriented db). if it has less than 8 GB then I expect it will have issues like those described.

for everyone else:
4) focus existing frustrations on asking qz to work on getting infrastructure for clan hosting added to the game core so the design we've put together for it can be overlayed onto something :p that's been the migration path for Boxcar/Evo for a loooong time but he's been focused on other technical things/issues/changes while I've only cared about/put energy into design and pie-in-the-sky ideas. with the infrastructure it creates a lot of new ways to expand the end-game for Alliance which will hopefully resolve a lot of Alliance server issues,

i never got the whole capital letters thing

how come pangs server handled capital letters fine and when it got moved to qz everything had to be lowercase

pang: delete all news history from before the current reset. There is really no reason to keep that... It cannot be helping the db queries.

also: bring back polls

the current lack of a poll system in boxcar is probably farking everything up
