i seem to be experiencing technical difficulties with your link. maybe Verizon doesn't want me to have access to light saber technology. though, i would think that the technology would be pretty much useless to somebody who is unfamiliar with manipulation of the force. would pretty much just be blaster. only good for lasering holes thru people. kinda like a gun.

My favorite comment in response to the scientists saying this was more useful in the short term for quantum computing than for light-sabers:
