i had a friend that was born and raised in NC, and he was a cowboys, Yankees, and Lakers fan. you are one of those people arnt you?

1) Jealousy AND hate; they can be mutually exclusive
2) I've been a fan of the Pats since Robert Kraft bought them back in like 95 -- they had that end-of-season run and I was hooked. That was also when I started getting into football.

For completeness,
Baseball -> Blue Jays (I was at games in the 92/93 seasons where they won it all :D I still have commemorative cups in my parent's basement!)
Basketball -> Raptors (I don't follow basketball, but I'm a wellwisher toward them)
Hockey -> Go Leafs Go!

Unlike morons like your friend (TBH, you don't need to hide yourself behind the "my friend" tag), I just cheer for the teams I cheered for as a kid. I still do to this day. Sometimes it works out well (Patriots), sometimes it works out poorly (Leafs).

Anyway, continue being butt hurt about Superbowl XXXVIII if you like. We all know that's what this is about. :p

I disliked the patriots long before the 2004 Super Bowl. And I am the very definition of a homer fan so I don’t want to hear any of your bullfluff "sure it was your friend" gag lol. I’m a frekin hornets fan in the NBA. We set a NBA record with only 7 wins in a strike shortened 52 game season. For the lowest winning percentage too, not just total number. And a panthers fan, never back to back winning seasons in 20 years. It doesn’t get much worse than those 2. Unless you are the browns. In fact, my most recent homer team win would be the Hurricanes, and i don't even like hockey! The Braves in baseball in 95. It has been a while.

Not sure its cheaters caught cheating or more like a Patriots official caught selling balls and wanted the balls he was selling to be used "GAME" balls. I think more likely you have a patriots official that runs a racket. read the actual stories. Seems money was being made behind the seens selling the balls.

that being said I think the Patriots deserve a fine for this happening. (Even if it was Green Bay or Texans I would say exact same thing) just to tell teams not to let this happen. Should this account against the game wins no because had nothing to do with gaining an "EDGE" I think had to do with team employees wanting to make extra money.
