As I recall blid, the administrator was only 99% sure. This was apparently not enough for a purple. We wouldn't want to chase off our player base would we? (though personally I would just warn them about that door that swings real hard and hits people in the ass)

The thing you fail to see is the vast majority of the people that play this game play it not for the game itself, but as a place to hang out and interact with people they have known for a decade. The community, not the game, is all that is keeping this place alive. And the community plays alliance server. Look at the majority of game play changes recently, alliance server oriented.

So yeah, to many solo servers are just afterthoughts a place to test strats in a live environment unlike the alpha servers.

The elite netters don't play solo servers. This doesn't mean solo servers arnt fun, but don't fool yourself into thinking the competition is best in class.
