LOL. It was something else. Don't go during the holidays, there are more people there than during a Super Bowl. From all over the world, so you know they bring their crap here (line jumping, lack of clarity of what personal space means, etc etc)
Universal Studios was aight. Son got to meet Prime and Megatron, Shrek, and on and on. Disney is over rated IMO. All in all, it was a good was to throw away a few mortgage payments :-( All they sell to you there is a fiction, a dream, and a very expensive dream at that. Everything is fake, even the fish in the 'water' is fake. Capitalism at it's finest, the lesson I learned in it all is that there is the 1% and the rest of us. The one percent figures out how to sell you a dream, and pake you wake in all sorts of ungodly lines for that dream", the rest of us line up like sheep and give them that money with a smile on our faces and a hole in the bank when we get back home.
A classic example? Every where you see people with the Disney balloons ( I didn't get suckered into buying that one thank God!). They cost between $10-$20. Yes they'll replace it for free for you should it pop while you are on site, but by the time most of the people that buy them get home, it should be deflated. Yes, they sell you a dream for a whole lot of money, but you get to keep the pictures and some and I mean some of the memories. Memories being all the lines you have to be in to get anything from a ride to using the bathroom and getting a meal.
/end rant.
The wife and kid loved it though, so that's cool. Plus the fluff I was sitting next to on the plane ended up stealing my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet which as it turns out was it's 1 yr anniversary since I got it. And I didn't even get head from her or anything.
