What do you mean still? Its just barely the second day of the set. Most people probably haven't even started running turns yet.

I tried casher last set and learned that indy to techer to casher takes too long in a week long set.. by the time i was ready to stock the apocalypse happened.

I started with casher start. How much a turn are you making BUTTMAN? (tpt / bushels / cash / turrets) ?

I am converting right now, need goods to sell before i will be fully built.. going techer after indy start but i tried going indy up to 3700 acres.. which is more than I usually do.

Oh, OK. Yeah, I haven't tried the indy start strategy yet. I just couldn't justify the time and money it costs to build / destroy / rebuild on Express.

Tech start is usually pretty good. I wouldn't waste time with an indy start.

I don't understand what tech start means.

You can't tech before turn 100 right? what do you use to finance building? unless teching bus/res is enough?

I'm not sure either. I've always played farmer.

When people say techstart they typically mean build a small number of farms (less than 500 usually, depends on the specifics of individual strats, bpt goals, etc) to fund building labs, and being full of labs and teching before the first batch explore.

A "pure" techstart is feasible (or was anyway, I presume it still is) and in I have proven that you can place well with it, but it is tough to stay patient enough. Once you can sell your first batch of tech, though, the MASSIVE early returns price-wise let you catch right back up to the faster starters.

I tried farm starts (but never stayed as a farmer, at least in express) but it was slow going. I am not sure the outrageous tech prices early set apply in express.. I mean just now there is some agri tech on the market for like $7700, but all you have to do is wait 15 minutes and it will be undercut. $3k is what you seem to get on this server in the early goings.. maybe up to $3500 if you're patient.. I just find the defensive bonus of indy start way too appealing to try anything else.

Although I tried a full on cash start a few weeks ago when I went all explore casher, that wasn't too bad.

EDIT: It is important to note that im not fully sure of what im doing, so this is all just based on my personal experience, not math or anything.
