well, back in the early 1900s it was called the "world" series as a marketing ploy, and it kinda stuck. personally, i refer to it as "the fall classic" an argument could also be made that a great number of nationalities are represented in the MLB, and they are the best players in the world. every baseball player with high goals eventually wants to play in the MLB, regardless of where they are from.

i also forgot to mention that Canada has a team, so technically baseball is international!

i consider american television i watch on canadian tv stations to be international, so..

if you want to fly the london baseballers to los angeles for three games in three days against the dodgers and then fly to bangkok to play three games in four days, and then fly to sydney to make up the rain delayed game from last month, and then a quick flight over to new zealand to play three games in three days..

(i would watch that sport)
