lol yeah. its free on my ps3. xbox just lost the ability to have joint parties while watching netflix. now if anyone paid for xbox live to be able to have some of the added benefits of netflix BEFORE the new update, you just lost out on some of the pluses. i use my ps3 now to stream netflix, since the app is tons more user-friendly. xbox is just for gaming now, as it should've always been i guess

Yeah I was asking if you needed xbl. I refuse to own a crapbox personally because I dont see the point of paying to play online when you already spend 300 on the system in the first place, plus another 60 on the game, and then on top of that another 45-60 just for internet (depends where you live and what type you have, so that is just a guess price of 45-60).

PS3 pros out weight the cons vs the xbox imho. Plus all I really use it for is to download the rosters for ncaa. And the price is what gets me.

everything for an xbox to play online costs, 300+60+45( we will say 45 for internet) + 60 for xbl = 465 bucks. Oh and dont forget the batteries too.

well this co worker does not have xbl. but netflix is only like 10 bucks (bit less i think) a month. In his case it would be better for him just to get a ps3 if all he is gonna do is use his xbox to watch movies on netflix and play sp

You only need to pay for xbox live if you want to play games multiplayer and I think a very small handful of features on top of that. You can get dlc and watch netflix without a paid account (microsoft gets their cut anyway when you do that).
