I don't trust a lot of the teams in the lower half of the East. I think Philly, Montreal, Carolina, New Jersey all have holes, and that Toronto is the most complete team of the bunch.

And the Islanders, Senators, Panthers, and Jets won't even be in contention near the end.


A few more outlandish predictions, just to make sure that I get something crazy right, and also get something very very wrong....

Stamkos wins the scoring title (both goals and points)
Malkin comes in 2nd in points and wins the Hart
Miller wins the Vezina
Blum (Nashville) wins the Calder
Weber wins the Norris (2nd trophy for Nashville D-men)

Washington gives up 30 goals less than anyone else in their division.
Jagr and Pronger combine to play under 120 games.
Crosby plays under 50 games.
Ovechkin gets suspended for at least 5 games for various infractions, possibly costing him the scoring title.
Washington gets more points than last year's 107, but Pittsburgh gets 115-120 to take the #1 seed.
