Pirating is as much stealing as you giving your neighbor an exact copy of the book you just bought; or giving him the original while you keep the copy.

you bought it, so it is yours and as such you can do whatever the fluff you want with it, that is the definition of owning something.

we can go a little further:

You buy a book, you have perfect memory so once you read it, a perfect copy of it is made in your brain and as such you no longer need the original, so you give it to your friend, with has the same perfect memory, with in turn does the same, by the end, everyone will own the book in their minds.
