Is anyone else getting pauses in game where it doesn't allow you to progress for about 30 - 45 seconds. Click on button doesn't work and eventually an ad pops up and then you can continue?

You will grow a lot faster earlier on with the extra turns you will have. This allows you to capitalize on the early high tech prices.

Easier to resell that way too.

I see lots of players come out of nowhere in the last 4-8 hours of the round and jump 30-40k worth of NW. I just want to understand how. I do get that you need to hoard bushles and do a govt change, but just dont understand the timing, etc.

I do pretty good, but struggle with that part.

The game measures success by NW, you can figure that out by the way it sorts countries on the scores page.
