Well, I did double hit you and I said it was an accident. Even after you started hitting me I let it go, but you just kept coming. I still didn't hit back. Sometimes you just need to let things go.

Is anyone else getting pauses in game where it doesn't allow you to progress for about 30 - 45 seconds. Click on button doesn't work and eventually an ad pops up and then you can continue?
The basic idea is to run all of your turns at the last moment and then flip to a monarchy and sell the bushels and then flip to a Theo and use the theocracy private market prices to jump. Most of those theos are either farmers or techers that jump at the last moment. Cashers will hold as much cash and food as possible to keep expenses down.
Just hit 40k acres and max tech by turn 1400 or so and start cashing from there. That’s likely what you are observing happen. Theo cashers are common on express. Reps too.
Techer needs to stock earlier. You run a high bpt (100 if I recall). Try running a lower CS count and stocking earlier. That slow start slows you down on express imo. You will grow a lot faster earlier on with the extra turns you will have. This allows you to capitalize on the early high tech prices.
I see lots of players come out of nowhere in the last 4-8 hours of the round and jump 30-40k worth of NW. I just want to understand how. I do get that you need to hoard bushles and do a govt change, but just dont understand the timing, etc.

Everyone's tough until they get punched in the face.
I know a ton of people that aren’t tough, nor claim to be. Without being “punched in the face”. Literally or figuratively which is what I assume you’re referencing here. Are you also one of these people you claim to be tough until you get punched in the face? Or are you ACTUALLY tough and only do the punching? If so, please tell us all how superior you are. Like a good narcissist would.
You should keep your mouth closed badonkadonks as you have multiple purple countries in your country name including a deleted country and an insulting country name against the mods in round 529….

I would also like a time of day change of us non-US folks. It's challenging to wake up at the crack of dawn to only have 3 hours to finish the set. I know you guys think you are the centre of the earth, but hey, blow me.
Can anyone tell me how this game measures success? is it NW?
The game measures success by NW, you can figure that out by the way it sorts countries on the scores page. There is also that quaint old fashioned tradition of congratulating the person that comes first by NW, and also acknowledging the achievements of other players that finish in the top 10 for having done well.
However in todays day and age people can just identify as the winner, by deciding that the primary metric is being a chump, and then excelling at this, so that everyone can celebrate their "special" ability.
In fact we see, usually every set, players identifying this way. Some even regularly!
Maybe we could have a chump pride month, to recognise and include this diverse group of people, and their .. ehm... "contribution" to the game.
