While that is true it’s the before that concerns me. I cannot count the number of times public figures chanted “facist”, “dictator”, “threat to democracy”, “taking away your rights”, “resist”, etc from Democrat leaders, left leaning news hosts, social media influencers, talk show hosts, etc. Non stop hate rhetoric.
When that sort of message is repeatedly stated to the world you can expect there will be people who are going to act who think of themselves as heroes. And that’s when bad things happen.

Yes. When leaders normalize the demonization of all opponents - of anyone who doesnt agree with the current groupthink - then you help create these fanatics. When government does not apply laws and justice impartially, but instead lets people with the 'right intention' off while hounding and imprisoning others for wrongthing, it helps to mobilize the fanatics. When whole groups can burn and destroy anything they take offense to and not only get away with it, but are praised in the media and by leadership then the fanatics feel the need for action. :( ;(
