Interesting that the netters would be ok with freedom of choice for others but the war guys get upset for that concept for others. I can see why people just choose to quit playing for sure and you are left with this dwindling base. The drama in this thread is the perfect example of what I imagine most people just walk away from and not want to engage with.

It's not a problem that I can solve by myself. When a post like that shows up there are four ways to deal with it:

1) Ignore it - this normalizes abuse towards the entire game staff and makes for a bad first impression to prospective players
2) Argue with the user and defend myself - waste of time and looks unprofessional
3) Delete the post - most of the time the user will just post it again more times (see the recent llaar spam)
4) Ban the user

I've been telling folks for over a year that they need to focus on playing the game instead of doing all of this weird stuff that is outside of the game. Now we're at the point where major alliance leaders honor and encourage these disgusting acts. I expect that things are going to get a lot worse in the short term.

Red was doing his thing again, so they got ready for war again. There was never going to be any "peace" this set, so I don't really follow your logic.

I think that what Red was doing to MONSTERS is a shining example of how dysfunctional Alliance had become.

A peaceful net gaining tag, that wanted to play the game their way, becoming the most viable target to war. Herp derp.

Seems the most logical next step is to go to war with the bots, they are not war prepped at all, can't hit back and certainly aren't going to wall.

Imagine the glory upon your heads. The war stats will be impeccable. Everyone will see that you are indeed the best at playing the game how it should be played!

I'll let them know that you have decreed this to be MONSTERS last reset. As far as I was aware they had no plans to leave Alliance, despite my attempts to persuade them otherwise.

I suppose it makes sense. I don't know if you played TEAMS but I remember trying it briefly. I posted looking for a netting tag, and was invited to join a new alliance. I don't know if there was some history I'm not aware of, but I remember that a bunch of existing players took an almost irrational dislike to our very existence, and for seemingly no good reason blindsided us. The following reset we prepped, but that was met with being gang banged by multiple tags co-ordinating.

It didn't really feel much like it was about war. These people seemed motivated by a genuine desire to run people off the server. There didn't really seem much point sticking around so I left. I can't say I was sad to see it shut down, it looks like those players got what they wanted.

It follows that if it is also the case that people are actively trying to drive people away from alliance (i'm guessing that the people doing that on TEAMS must have gone somewhere?) then the only logical conclusion is that they are trying to get this server shut down too.

Those people that actually enjoy playing the game, would do well to recognise the real enemy of it.

If it comes to pass that those players succeed and get alliance shut down. Then MONSTERs will have no choice to move to co-op, I think they would do well there, but I think they would be disappointed that it had come to this.

Who knows what goes on the minds of other people though!

With Alliance leaders sitting around on social media trynna build a woke community, what do you expect?
With each passing set, we move further away from the game's original intent and leave the bot hitters to guide the Alliance server future.
It's 2025 and I would ask is to give the Alliance server two sets WITHOUT bots and see how it goes.

Yeah, I came back after a long retirement and its been a 2v1 gangbang each set. Either solers join mercs to attack us, or mercs join Sol to attack us. Last set we had a suicider who was being FA'd by both Sol/Mercs over and over until Mercs finally warred us. With solers attacking us. When we hit the Soler, now it was 2v1. Not sure how long this is sustainable, but folks have been trying to recruit retired players back. Our first official set we got smashed, and most of the old players were trying to re-learn strategy, how to run turns, etc. They came back. And they're leaving again. I've said it before and I'll reiterate: it seems Sol/Mercs at this point are driving anyone out of this game until its them playing with themselves. I'm not sure whats the fun in that but good job, you've won and killed the game.

I dont see any valid case to stay silent on PDM's made up narratives. They'll just speak poorly of us on AT to look good for the SOL/MERC overlords.

To be fair to Cathankins, he's at least talking about the team server and providing supporting evidence for his position. He's even taking pride in his ingame accomplishments! You can disagree with his conclusion, but his behavior is 1000X preferable to spreading lies that hurt the game for no reason.

The deletion of the team server has been moved forward by one month due to this thread.
