So, I have finally gotten around to reading the rulings and the comments by the judges themselves and have found that while they were big victories for ACA (a bit shocking, imo) and Same Sex Marraige, another huge winner of the week was the pro-2nd amendment crowd due to the rulings and specifically the reasoning behind them. The quote of the week comes from one of the more liberal judges on the panel, justice Kennedy said this "fundamental rights may not be submitted to a vote; they depend on the outcome of no elections"

Going forward, judges taking on gun control cases will be pretty boxed in on how they can rule given this case, having nothing to do with guns, but everything to do with the bill of rights and the constitution. It also opens up the options for potential suits to open up gun regulations in some of the more restricted states. should be fun to watch.

Might actually go the exact opposite, As the tenth amendment went from near death unless your state would tolerate the near broken arm to congress's bribery or punitive penalties for not submitting to their will. To out right a dead and finally a non-existent amendment without even the need to pass a new amendment to declare its death. Sadly the 14th Amendments broad view to ignore and neutralize the tenth amendment can really get its credit to the Eisenhower administration.

That's usually been the case in 2nd amendment cases. That's why the total gun bans were ruled unconstitutional. The biggest reason for a lot of these laws still being on the books its they just haven't been challenged yet.
