So, I have finally gotten around to reading the rulings and the comments by the judges themselves and have found that while they were big victories for ACA (a bit shocking, imo) and Same Sex Marraige, another huge winner of the week was the pro-2nd amendment crowd due to the rulings and specifically the reasoning behind them. The quote of the week comes from one of the more liberal judges on the panel, justice Kennedy said this "fundamental rights may not be submitted to a vote; they depend on the outcome of no elections"
Going forward, judges taking on gun control cases will be pretty boxed in on how they can rule given this case, having nothing to do with guns, but everything to do with the bill of rights and the constitution. It also opens up the options for potential suits to open up gun regulations in some of the more restricted states. should be fun to watch.
