Boltar: why is the 50k country bottomfeeding? it's pointless this set due to the grabbing changes re: diminishing GA returns for repeat grabing a country The 50k acre country would be better served grabbing and retalling countries of a similar size.

The problem seems largely to be that too many people are stuck on bottomfeeding being the ONLY way to grab, because no one wants to hit someone of a similar size, or have to buy a moderate amount of defence instead of minimal amounts and relying on tag protection to keep their arse safe.
As I said, I am not disputing that a topfeed can (and occasionally does) occur, I am saying that the majority of so called 'topfeeds' are by countries only just outside the arbitrary given number, and it occurs because the bigger country will not buy an appropriate level of defence. your 50k country as above is an example, as is a country of around 20k acre with only 200k (or less) defence.
I feel that if you aren't willing to defend your land properly, you should have no right to complain when you get grabbed. If you DO defend your land properly, and get grabbed, then sure, you deserve to be considered topfed. but if you are running so little defence, that someone 1/4 or less your side who has built a balanced level of military (so reasonable defence compared to land and offence) can break you, then you deserve everything you get.

its due to nw, if he increases his nw too much the way his country is setup he can no longer bottomfeed and will be too fat to midfeed.. not many fat top finishers midfeed. cause they will lose out to a retaler, if a strategy works for midfeeding then by all means. but only certain strategys work for it

Yah... certain strategies are way better at midfeeding.. and if Laf started midfeeding people there would be tears like crazy. If every laf player did even one grab a day on 2 clans then you would each be eating at least 40-50 hits a day. That assumes that people don't want to do about 2-10 hits. I don't see people being pleased if we did that either :P
