The issue is not the doctors. The issue is society losing its way as far as caring for mentally ill. We no longer give them treatment they need on daily basiss, we just throw pills at them and send them on their way as of they wrre a regular member of society and then flip out when they do fluff like aurora or sandy hook or columbine, as if we didnt know they were unstable before...
Instead of dealing with the root of the issue, which would be a "major inconvenience" for families and the "i need it fixed right now" mentality we have and take a HUGE hit on big pharmacy, we just ignore it and take the easy way out.
It is simple, oklahoma city, they used fertilizer, boston maratho they used a pressure cooker, 9-11 they used airplanes. At the end of the day, you cannot stop people from killing people if thy want to. You can regulate guns but you cannot regulate mental illness and you cannot regulate hate.
We as a world, need to address that issue before anything else will trickle down. The gun control movement is not about protecting civilians it is about protecting the power the government has over the people, nothing more. If they gave half a fluff about protecting the people they would go after handguns, not "assault style weapons" that, despite being readily available, are responsible for less than 2% of all homicides in the country.
