In order for a movie to pass the Bechdel test, it has to have 1) two women, 2) who talk to each other, 3) about something other than a man. (and not lesbian pornos you sickos:P)
Trying to list some good movies that pass this test that are not chick flicks.

Random movies that pop into my head that fail:
Princess Bride: Fails
Star Wars: Fails
Indiana Jones: Fails
300: Fails
Pretty much any Tarantino flick fails.

Hunger games passes. Don't know if that qualifies as a "good" movie.


TV series that pass where teenage girls are not the target demographic (reality tv doesn't count):
Soppranoes
Game of thrones.
Sons of Anarchy
House of cards
Sparticus.. I think
Simpsons and some episodes of Southpark passes. But afaik family guy doesn't, neither does American dad.

A lot of popular kids cartoons fail lol..

how relevent does the second women need to be? does binoche's character in the english patient count, because she speaks with the nurse who drives ahead and gets blown up before kirpal singh saves them all from nazi explosives in pianos and statues?.. or would binoche, in this example, need to speak to kristen scott thomas' character?

I know this is not a movie but I learned about the Bechdel test from my wife when talking about The Wheel of Time series which hugely passes.

Assuming the TV series, which I have not seen, is anything like the books then the Song of Ice and Fire series passes.

Every book of game of thrones passes as do all the tv seasons to this point.
Now that I think about it
"Frozen" passes almost right from the beginning.. which is rare of a Disney/pixar flick:P Although I guess technically Cinderella passes but I would argue that's a technicality.
On that topic:
Aladin fails
Beauty and the beast fails
Peter pan fails (I don't count tinkerbell telling the children including wendy how to fly as a pass)
Snow White fails
Toy Story fails.. I think.
Shrek.. I need to think about that carefully I don't think they all pass?
Sadly Harry Potter passes as does hunger games.


Oh: Most episodes of Big bang theory fail.
Fight club fails.. although really it wouldn't make sense for it to pass given what it is about.
