In all seriousness though, this is SOL & Mercs last set, after this set WE are hanging up OUR tags and we are quitting the game. For a full explanation as to this decision WE will post on SOL.ghqnet nearer reset.
As a result, we figured going out in one last massive war would be the right thing for us, no hard feelings :)

Like most of us, I've been on both sides of war with SOL over the past 30ish years. I haven't always respected your style, but I respect the hell out of the fact that you've played the game you wanted to play and are going out guns blazing. Also appreciate you bringing together all the rusty old tree huggers in one room!

If any SOLers want to learn how to play the game as a netter after hanging up your war tools, I'd be honored to play alongside you. Mercs lapdogs can get stuffed though; there's no way I believe you won't be griefing untagged next set. That's part of the "fun" of 1a, though, and it won't be the same without you.

To make this a true server war, though, I think we need a mid-set patch directing the bots to fire their missiles at SOL.

This is the type of visionary leadership we need.
