Indeed, I only played solo servers for a while, I joined alliance right around when this was changing. I think I played only a set or two without separated tags. I was in a tiny tag until the Tiger bot incident, then I joined SOF.

In it's prime, it was the great great grandfather of amazing MMO's like Ultima Online : )

But...you're probably right. If anyone deserved the webbys was the builders of clan infrastructure.

I check in every once in a while, amazed it's still here and feel a weird bit of comfort seeing familiar names on the boards. Earth was a place I could just be me and will always be a pretty solid part of my life. I remember the days of making sure you were online when FFA reset started or the server would fill up. TAWNN will always be #1

LaF is still on the Cooperation server. SOL & Mercs left jointly, uh... 3 resets ago? 4? There was a huge server war, because everyone was sick of them being ass holes, but also there was a bunch of mod/admin stuff going on with them too, and they sort of abetted some hacking of the game with sloppy security on their site and refused to fix it...

So they were the last one out the door of those you mentioned, but I wouldn't call "an entire legendary alliance came back from the dead for the purpose of giving you one last epic ass kicking because you were such ass holes all the time for so fluffing long" winning.

That was Omega, btw, and they are still here, and they're pretty fun. :) You can find them in the Discords I shared in the other thread.

i would say a lot of fact checking required on that one.

Fill in the cracks in my story, fine, but you'll find an awful lot of folks agree with the broad strokes of how I said it.

Keep it simple..... kids will always be kids.

As folks got old, and lazy, most decided to sit on their butts and just hit bots. Without the ability to get off their butts, they made friends through internet chats with like-minded bot hitters.
The kids (young-at-heart) players were pushing the edge of what the mods/admins could handle and thus were banned.
This could be viewed as if they quit where they were actually kicked out. Their friends left shortly thereafter.
Alliance is no longer a war server.... just an old folks home for bot hitters.

If it weren't for the "old folks" hitting bots, there would hardly be anyone here besides the bots :P

There should be a special server for the old folk bot hitters and return the Alliance server to a war server with NO bots

Bro leaving on your own accord and getting banned are very different things. But it doesn’t matter. It’s been almost a year since their departure and everyone has moved on myself included. Those dudes are but a good memory of days past now.

Life goes on and another reset rolls along….

There are currently 324 countries in the Alliance server.

I am curious how many would be left if you remove bots and the bot hitters.

there is only 60 active player countries currently in alliance.

And if nothing changes, those numbers will continue to drop :P
