It's pretty basic snakey .. you draft of team of offensive players (usually no defense) to play the teams put together by other people in your league each NFL week. The draft is a group draft, so once a player is picked by somebody he is no longer available.
Players score points based on their performance on a weekly basis. Touchdowns are worth points, 10 yards gained are worth points, etc. It's all cumulative for that week. Quarterbacks get points for passing yards, rushing yards, touchdowns thrown, etc. Players also lose points for turnovers. Typically you have slots available for a quarterback, 2 running backs, 2 wide recievers, 1 RB/WR flex spot, 1 tight end, and one kicker, and like 6 players on your bench. So you draft to fill those spots as best you can.
So say in week 1 (opening week) the team that you have put together plays Despy's team. Your starters gain points based on how they actually play that week, and whichever team (yours or despy's) gains the most points as a whole wins that week. After 12 or so regular season matchups the playoffs start .. it's damn good fun if you love the NFL
Bsnake the league creator will have to schedule a draft time. It's like an hour some night when everyone is on the site and there's a timed draft .. like 12 rounds or so.
If you cant or dont feel like showing up there's an autodraft that will go for you, and will select the highest preseason ranked player available.
Take off all the +1 points for receptions/running touches/completions. That just makes RBs op'd vs receivers. And yeah we need a live draft, if anything for the fluff talk ;D
