Pretty tragic. One of the better politicians we've had in some time IMO, and in the peak of his career, months after giving the NDP the best showing they've had in decades. Sad, sad. fluffin' cancer.

Very sad indeed. He's done so much for the NDP.

I'll comment on the "NDP best showing" bits in another thread if there is interest to discuss it, but not here.

He will be missed.

CC - He had prostate cancer and when it was done (maybe he hadn't gone into commission) but a second cancer formed and that is what took his life :(

It is really sad. He looked so sick the last time he spoke publically. At least he wont be suffering anymore. Though Canadian politics will without him.
