well I'm not sure about that. LOL this land trading thing and somewhat more limited amount of countries screws up the market from what it was in old days of earth 2025.

the decay nerf next set is gonna majorly change things again so you aren't on quite as uneven a ground

yeap all-x. I was going to try some land trading since it seems to have become the accepted practice in the ffa even though I do not think land trading is good for the game as a whole. However current ESD rules do not allow it. With current conditions of the game I can not see any way for a person to put all 16 countries into the top 100 without land trading. In Earth 2025 there were many different ways to put your countries into the top 100 without some sort of aid boost from your other countries.

this is the first reset i've landtraded, and before this reset i was ranked 3rd for most top 100 finishes, so it is possible

In the past it may have been possible, but at the present I agree with JP. With t100 cutoffs over 150mil I don't see many all-x unaided countries hitting it. Unless you're a demo market manipulating expert

warster, I can put countirs in the top 100 also, but not independently without aid or transfers of goods. I'm just talking about the last 2 sets though. Looking back through past resets it could have been done before so many went to land trading.

Top 100 all X is pretty hard, but honestly is simple

Grabbing > Land Trading > all x

A good grabber would beat a Land Trader easily, the problem is the time spent looking for targets.

Is funny how I tought land trading was so awesome, until I did it; in the end grabbing is still better, I guess land trading is a way to get 40 or 35% of the effectiviness of LG, with 10% of the effort and 20% of the risk :)

This set I went with 8 pure land traders, 4 grabbers to 30k acres then land traders, and then 4 grabbers to 30k early stockers.

I think my all x < Land traders will be about 140m-180m net at the most, the pure grabbers will be +240m and the grabber land traders will probably be around 260m unless I screw my destock (likely to happen).

Then again, I am a rusty noob that came back 2 sets ago, so I am improving with each set.

Warster hasnt used transfers, aid or self farming, and is third all time in top 100s.

true, I looked at his profile after I posted. In the last 2 sets since land trading has gone crazy none of those top 100 countries of his would have came close to top 100. The days of top 100 countries being around 100mil are over. I think 150mil or more will be the new normal for top 100. Warster is a good netter but without land trading from here forward it would be very unlikely for him to keep putting countries in the top 100. LGing is an option but it's hard enough in the ffa to find enough grabs for 1 or 2 countries let alone 16.

JP there is plenty of targets, is the fact that you can't really go wild on them, because the suicide potential is huge.

I was looking for targets for 8 countries and is very doable (because most people don't bother).

Hey JP... I'll be lifting the self-farming ban next set, but you and I and SV and whoever else plays under the tag next set could get together and set up some kind of land-trade deal between each other. That's not self-farming. Technically. :)
