PCI is Per Capita Income, it directly relates to your income based on population. the wiki has a more advanced explanation.

Resource decay is related to food decay, that happens on every turn you run with food onhand, and i forgot the formula, but im sure its on the wiki.

it also relates to "corruption" which occurs on any cash you have onhand above $2billion. the formula for that is probably on the wiki as well.

PCI boom gives you triple tax revenue

Resource decay decreases the rate at which food decays, and decreases the rate at which cash on hand above $2 billion decays. It can get to 100%, giving no decay of either cash or food.

i was going to be a jackass and post the wiki page for bonuses
(http://wiki.earthempires.com/index.php/Bonuses)

and then i realized that for somebody who might actually be curious, it doesn't give a bit of useful information.

PCI boom basically forces a positive cashing event (extra income from tax or wahtever it says) per purchase. so if you buy 4 pci booms, you get the positive cashing event for the next 4 turns.

resource decay lowers the amount of food and money you lose per turn to things like food decay and corruption. it's possible to max out decay and have no loss of cash on hand over 2bil, for instance, and not have to carry a stockpile. which is what it's usually used for.

I thought PCI booms had a range that it would boost it. I didn't realize it was always triple.

however PCI seems to be temporary..well i would say something permanent is better. perhaps increase 'luck'. oh btw luck seems to be good. initially i thought luck is for reducing the chances of getting an earthquake or something like tat. i need more missile so luck came in pretty handy. haha

pci is one occurrence per pci boost purchased. the importance of bonuses changes with what you're trying to do (net or war) and the point of the reset you're at (grabbing vs stocking etc)

Building costs, expenses and resource decay are the 3 long term bonuses that have the best overall results for netting purposes. Building costs in general are a very good one if you plan on getting large countries.

I concur with AJ here. I didn't have much experience with getting too landfat, although 22.7k acres was epic. Expenses of course cuts down on expenses, (does it work on expenses incurred by having a hideously huge amount of military?) Building costs, make things fun too, especially during war or if you're landtrading.

It absolutely cuts down on expenses from a large military.

Building costs is most helpful if you're going to self-farm to large acreage counts (especially if your goal is 100k+).

Resource Decay is most helpful if you'd like to destock early and take advantage of higher bushel rates on the public market (but it does make you more vulnerable to having some of your stockpile of cash stolen on landgrabs if you're not going TMBR right away and getting huge NW wise).

I haven't done anything where expenses seemed like the best option, but being someone who doesn't really do the math as much as players like AJ, my guess is if you were playing a military heavy strategy, like an industrialist, this would be most helpful.
