You're missing my point. Let's say I have a billion bushels stocked. In the absolute worst case scenario, let's say I have to sell every single one of them on my private market.
Further, let's say I'm buying at $45. Which after 6% comission is actually $47.70 [er bushel.
Now. Having to sell on my PM at $34/bushel means I am losing $13.70 per bushel. Which further means if I'm holding a BILLION of them, I LOSE $13.7 billion dollars.
I'm trying to figure out how much cash I can hold (in terms of corruption)before it's better to buy bushels at the prevailing market price.
