I just built a new computer.

CPU: AMD FX 8Core
MoBo: GA-970A-UD3
Six 3TB WD Drives (Raid5)

I had to remove DRV0 (1-1) from the array to install Win7 Ult.
Win7 Ult. wasn't able to install on the RAID (Even after drivers were loaded and a 2TB volume was created).

I want to install Microsoft Web Server 2008 R2 in a couple of weeks and not sure if I'll have the same problem.

Has anyone had this problem before?
Am I doing something wrong?
Am I not doing something right? <-- Ha

Any feed back would be helpful.

:) Yeah. Micro Center was having a special; Buy FX class chip get mother board free. It also overlapped another deal $40 off AMD FX class CPUs. Walked out the door with both for $214 with tax.

not being a tech guy myself i am not sure what the problem is with any unit that has 2TB of volume to use for an operating system

seems that should be enough to run a large company
Damn missed it

MC FTW

Windows will copy, expand, etc..but when it's time to make the first reboot, it kicks out a message "Windows was not able to prepare this computer to boot. Please try running the installation again". After going through this 5 times, I pulled DRV0 out of the Array and just used DRV1 - DRV5 for my RAID5. Everything seems to be working now, but I really want my OS to get the speed perks from the RAID and cover my OS and settings with parity.

I figured Earth Empires has more greatter geeks then me that may know something more about this then me.
