Top 10 - $700 million

I was wondering when this thread was going to be made. I think that is a pretty good guess. I think top 10 will be $700. But the rest a little bit lower I think.

Top 10 - $606 million

Top 25 - $362 million

Top 50 - $287 million

YOu may well be right on the non-top 10 guesses I took. But I think I'm not far off. Maybe $25 million NW in each category.

How many techers did people have?

I ran 8 and if any of them get below 375 mill I will have fluffed up somehow, so a lot of the top 50/100 depends on that I think.

My guesses are 900, 500, 375 and 270ish though.

Dragon: Those countries are fun to build, but yeah, the last times I did that, most of my countries were crap.

In fact, I looked back. Last time I had a t10, I finished 6th and my next best country was ranked 393. I was definitely playing for one monster country.

Yeah, I had one of those sets too. I've had two sets with t10 countries. Last time was the time I finished 6th and I basically sacrificed the other 15 to make the one big'un.

The other time, I actually had 4 really good countries (all finished top 50, with the top one finishing 10th), 4 more that were between 100-200, and then 8 that kinda sucked.

Most of the time though, I'd prefer to shoot for top 100s and ANW rather than t10s. Partially because I'm not that good, so if I shot for t10s every set, I'd probably end up getting like 12th most sets with 15 other crap countries. :P

I never HAD a top 10 country in FFA before last set. Even back in the day, the best I ever did was 17th. And that was because of Oil market manipulation/buyouts and 30 untagged Rep Cashers.

I just know that there's a LOT of room for improvement in my play. I also know that I'm probably not willing to invest enough time to be the best I can.

I'm in the same spot. I basically don't ever do the math for how I could do better. I just post on the member forum to try to get AngryJesus, Bigwiggle or Havoc to do the math for me.

I'm the equivalent of the guy who just "eyeballs" everything and figures it'll turn out pretty good.

its most interesting seeing who gets the most TNW individually

although some people help eachother its still probably the best indicator

individual ANW isnt quite as good when people drop extra countries but its easier to compare if you have some dead, i lost 2 this set and the replacements wont be as large

these cutoffs could change a lot depending on who decides to do what, i could probably still go for a couple of top 10 or all top 100 at this point for example
