If someone who was involved in the wars would post warstats for the big wars (the IMP/CC war and the FoCuS/NBK war, yes I know other clans were involved, but that's why I'm relying on others).

Since I'm a netter, here's your breakdown:

Total Networth winner: PANLV. For the 2nd set in a row, PANLV won TNW, this time with just under 30B networth. 2nd place was ESD, who put up 22B with just 111 countries.

Average Networth Winner: Mercs, with honorable mentions to both ESD and PANLV based on size. Mercs only had 40 countries and detagged 28 inactive countries in the final week to finish with a record 213M average networth. ESD with 111 (which I believe involved some slight detagging at the end too, 111 doesn't seem like a familiar number to me), finished at over 200M, which as far as I'm concerned is the real record holder for an alliance, since I would argue that 40 countries is just too small to qualify--that's just my two cents though. PANLV's average networth didn't compare to either of these other two, at 139M, but at over 200 countries and since I'm a homer for my own clan, I'm mentioning it anyway.

Top 10:

Cutoff - $815,716,455

TKO - 4 (including the #1 overall)
ESD - 3
KSM/FraZ - 2
LaE - 1

TKO showed off that even in a down set for them, they know how to put up big countries, once again putting up the top country and 4 of the top 10. ESD had a much improved set as far as top-tier countries, and relative newcomer KSM put up the #9 and #10 countries. llaar also returned to the top 10 with the #2 overall country. Netting clans PANLV and Mercs did not break into the top 10 at all.

Top 100:

Cutoff - $267,792,038

PANLV - 41
ESD - 27
Mercs - 14
TKO - 12
KSM/Fraz - 3
NBK - 1

PANLV held the largest chunk here, with no one pushing for t10s but rather going for as many t100s as possible. ESD had a nice balance between the two, with their 3 top 10s coupled with 27 of the top 100. Mercs, as discussed in my clan rankings, had a nice showing in the top 100 with a few of their players clearly putting forth the effort to succeed this set.

KSM/Fraz beyond their 2 bigs didn't put up much of a show with just one other top 100 country.

NBK had one big country, I believe put up by PapaSmurf, who apparently had some other plans up his sleeve once NBK's war was basically decided.

THere's a nice breakdown of the netting this set. If someone from the clans involved in wars wants to give their take on the wars, go for it. :)

That country did fight a good portion of that war. I want to say it had 22 kills.

you didn't mention "boobs" FTW. :-)

Also that same guy had the #5 country as well.
So 2 in the top 5 for the same guy.
Pretty good netting accomplishment having 2 top 5s'.

The rest of your writeup seems good.

lol, yeah Saint would have retagged those if we didn't all forget the tag PW =P

With Saint's 14 countries retagged it would have been:
Countries: 125
Total networth: $23,065,000,000
Average networth: $184,520,000

------------

Watch out next set PAN, we're comin for your rusty ass TNW crown =P

Ok, in a day or two I'm going to be putting some records on wiki. It'll have clan top 5s and some individual top 25s. Here are a few early stats.

First average land was way up this set.

Mercs - 105,890
LaE - 102,075
TKO - 98,272
ESD - 90,459

I had a top 5 for average land. And these 4 replaced the previous top 5. Here is what the top 5 was. (the last number is the set)

LaE - 82,515 - 14
llaar - 78,987 - 11
TKO - 72,376 - 13
Panlv - 67,081 - 12
Panlv - 64,522 - 14

That was the only really major change in the top 5s.

These countries have the most land ever.(not counting before the change)

Katie (#2333) [xTKOx] 3,503,811
Page 6 (#2141) [xTKOx] 3,102,659
llaar (#1360) [AgoodLaE] 3,083,081
Open Your Mind (#1105) [xTKOx] 2,300,735

The best was 1,805,092.

ESD - Best Ave NW was 170 mill, this set 201 mill, best their best by 31 mill. Had 27 top 100s, most they had before was 19. They had 3 top 10s, most they had before was 1.

KSM - Best Ave NW was 37 mill, this set was 63 mill, best their best by 26 mill. Cracked top 10 for the first time with 2.

Panlv - Beat there best TNW by 1 billion.

TKO - Only had 12 top 100s. Lowest ever for them, besides warring sets.

Bad4U - Had a big drop from last set. They are about 2.1 billion TNW less. Unless I missed a war.

Ghost Acres:
- Reset-long Country:Country DR added to Land grabbing (SS & PS) ghosts: this means that all hits over the reset by a country on another are added into reducing ghost acres; this does not affect the main returns, *just* the ghost acres.

Thanks. I just found that myself and came back to post the link to the announcements board.
But thanks for enabling my typical laziness. :)

Here's the link for the full changes for this set:

http://forums.earthempires.com/...-spying-lging-self-delete

Another highlight includes that countries cannot self-delete until 72 hours has passed from their last attack. Suiciders might try to do more damage to people, but at least it's possible for us to try to get our land back instead of someone just basically grabbing a bunch of land and disposing of it.

This, by the way, is what I felt the people who were anti-self-farming should be lobbying for the whole time.

As long as the game mechanics made it so much more efficient and easy to land-trade between two countries, there wasn't much motivation to NOT do so.

This doesn't cut land-trading from the game, but it certainly will put more balance in between land-trading, all-explore and land-grabbing outside the tag. It'll be interesting to see these next couple of sets how this change affects not only the size of countries, but also the pacting practices of most of the netting clans to possibly leave more landgrabbing targets.

Now I'm one of the few NBKers who could care less about self farming/land trading. But ultimately I do think it makes the game less fun. I wont name names, but I do know a handful of people in both Panlv and TKO who are getting bored with netting. I can only imagine that land trading gets boring set after set. Even one of the Panlvers mentioned the set 7 war against NBK was there favorite set in EE.

The PANLV/FoCuS v. NBK war was actually a lot of fun. And I think these changes will make it more fun to upset the formula of "land trade until you're 100k+, then stock"

I'm all for it.

Of course, I'd hate to war this next set, as I'm being a masochist and doubling up on grad classes while working full time. :P

So if you NBKers are looking to come after us again sometime soon, I'd appreciate it if you waited until 2013. ;)

If I could actually play without getting suicided by untaggeds, then maybe I'd get bored of landtrading. What I'm bored of is being suicided on.

hopefully the self-delete 72h hold on attacks will help that a bit; also you're getting the new special attacks rules this set, hopefully that will make cripple-suiciding more difficult

hitting 100k will be easy. The new DR rule doesn't do anything except make bigger clans > smaller clans.

It also could turn this into alliance where the untags start getting grabbed more. I know I am going to be looking elsewhere for land now.

I don't think any of the suiciders self delete afterwards. Maybe the late set ones who do landgrabs would do that.

It won't really affect the ones who use GS to kill countries, and its not feasible to run around with 1m troops early on and 10m later, just to avoid being GSd by a restart who goes full troops.

But it should help against ABers, at least. And it is good to see some effort being put towards weakening suiciders.

The main problem is just the number of douchebags playing the game, but that's rather difficult for the administrators to control.

No, it'll just lead to me having to play 16 of one strategy, rather than mixing up what strategies I play. With a little bit of practice landtrading with other people countries (Mercs has done that already a little bit, just to show to ourselves that its no different), we'd be able to mix up what strategies we play, as long as there's at least 16 or so countries in the tag playing that strategy.

It just makes landtrading more inconvenient.

Exactly
I haven't tried running more than one strat amongst my 16 but I was going to this set. Now I have to stick to my one strategy and hope for the best.

Actually, saw this happen a lot this set. Almost anyone that hit PANLV (and to be honest, we got off pretty easy this set, so it wasn't that bad) suicided by landgrabbing a fluffload off of us and then self-deleting.

The early suiciders don't do this, but mid and late set, I'm sure if you look back at news (if you're so inclined), you'll find it. I'd start with TKO and PANLV news.
