Without doing the math, I'm going to guess the worse part is that those are private market bushels.

Buying bushels for $200 or whatever it is (I forget and have no countries this set....) is certain a big painful.

Jesse: If this is the reason ESD beats PANLV, I'm going to come back and out netgain you next set just to embarrass you.

Even if you take all $8 Billion and spend it on food on the PM, the maximum cost to your ending net worth as a totally tweaked Theo is $36 Million TNW.

As it stands right now, (and I have NO clue how it's even possible considering that ESD had a few guys who for one reason or other had to "stand down" this set) ESD is ahead $2.3 Billion in TNW and has a fair amount more left in the tank.

Biggy's $36 million mistake won't decide this.

I probably lost $30 million NW this set running out of food. One side of me would like to see turns being aborted if the next one runs you out of food, but the other side of me understands the needfulness of thinning out the gene pool to eliminate stupidity.

Funny, we were just talking about this on IRC - bushel prices just need to be decreased so they're 'reasonable'.

I would agree with that statement. In fact, I think you can only "dumb down" the game so much before even playing is pointless.

You mean private market bushel prices?

Personally, I understand the need to keep Private Market bushel prices at a relatively high level. If you don't, it jeapordizes the Public food market.

However, I think that a max purchase price of $60/bushel on the private market is reasonable. If you look at the historical price of bushels on the Public Market, you won't often find food over $52 or $53 a bushel in a sustained manner.

Personally, I have never seen the food market empty mid or late set. So I don't think that forcing a player to buy off their Private market at over $60 a bushel allows them to somehow exploit the private market.

75 bucks is possible although quite unlikely, 100 bucks would be safe since doubt any1 is that desperate that needs 100 bucks bushels.

Indeed... sad part, I accidentally did it myself while in the process of destocking. Lost about $10 per bushel reselling the fluffers through the Private Market, and in the end probably cost me about a networth boost of $10 million on that country.
