Yes there are responsible gun owners, but if you have so many responsible gun owners, that means there are a lot of guns in your community. You think most criminals buy their guns legally? Nope. You think these kids that shoot their schoolmates buy them from the store? Nope. The guns are taken from parents, stolen from b&e's, or sold on the black market because there are so many.

And when one gun owner goes temporarily nuts because his wife cheats on him... What does that leave you with? A murder suicide maybe... Maybe?

My point is that less guns in the community means less gun violence and gun involved crime. It won't solve all your problems.
