I remembered IX would be getting tons of FAs from allies when going to war.
Is it because there are less alliances and pacts prohibits allies to do so?
Or just for the sake of honor?

I was not around in late 2008 till 2011.
Just asking how wars changed during this time.

(No MD vs. SoF discussions please)

Pacts. Definitely pacts. But "some" alliances have been known to do whatever they feel like, despite pacts.
I am a troll. Everything I say must be assumed to be said solely to provoke an exaggerated reaction to the current topic. I fully intend to bring absolutely no substance to any discussion, ongoing or otherwise. Conversing with me is pointless.

Only way to prevent it is to take out FA like they did in primary. I think FA has a place in the alliance server though.
Someone ask Qz / Pang to remove my 10 year ban!

Receiving FA during war isn't against the server rules as long as you aren't safelisted with the person you are receiving FA from..:P
you are all special in the eyes of fluff

Even this round people still market aid past pact terms.

I'd love to hear more about this "market aid". Sounds like a huge crock of fluff.

lol market aid Detmer? I find that very hard to believe and would love to see the proof of that.

MD and Sof should just have an arranged war with an arranged FS date and agree on rules before. This was a hostile war so complaining about a minor element of it is silly.

FAing at war isn't really the real issue. you can see the bigger picture.

I'm not taking any sides, but I am happy to define market aid as I *think* it is being discussed here...

Two forms:

1. Less intentional - Country A (or A,B,C) have tech up at unusually high prices. They make this known to friends who buy it up.

2. More intentional - Countries and/or Alliances pre-arrange that Tech X (mil strat, for example) will be bought out at a certain pre-arranged day/time. Market aid recipients, with this information, know to put up large amounts of Tech X at unrealistic prices ($6k, $7k, even $8k+).

While the market is open to everyone to participate in equally, it is the knowledge of forthcoming market events that allows the market to be used to pass aid.

I don't know if either of the above have happened or not, because I am FAR too lazy to go through the data to match up nw changes when those really high priced tech transactions occurred.

I would also love to see proof of market aid. Because I have looked at a few market transactions involving a certain tech at certain prices on this server (upon request), and concluded that neither SoF nor MD sold that tech at those prices. The tech market at those times was just thin.

Now, alliances involved in the current SoF/MD war may or may not be having friends buy their tech at higher prices. I'm just not seeing any proof of it at this time.

Until I do see proof of certain alliances selling tech at abnormally high prices (and I probably never will, being I don't have a vested interest in this war), I am just going to have to tell MD to come up with a better excuse for why they are losing this war.
