Last 6 hours on game, GDI *prevents* you from grabbing people that never hit you
But it does not *protect* you from non-GDI randoms

In the final six hours of the game, you will not be able to engage in any offensive actions against countries that have not hit you at least once.

There are 3 hours left in the set......this has changed?

*You* will not be able to engage in offensive actions. Because you're in GDI. If the country that hit you is not in GDI, they can still attack

hmmm.....I always thought it worked both ways I guess. I've never been grabbed by anyone I havent hit after it goes below the 6 hour mark. I guess this is a first then. :)

It doesn't work both ways, and I've seen proof of that before, but humanitarians do tighten starting at 2 hours remaining in the set, so maybe that stopped you?

damn.. if that's the case, it doesnt protect against suiciders at all!

confusion happens when you have two extreme countermeasures that somewhat overlap.

It works in the way it was intended. It stops special attacks.
