i didnt even expect to still even exist come saturday with the way they were grabbing.

killyourspies had 1800 farms, 1800 labs, 6200 land, and 80,000 turrets when i hit him, oh, and 0 tech. i really thought he looked bad, but i was mistaken.

wild hair was the most obvious bad hit i made, but you hit him too. i actually spied him and decided not to hit him, but a day later, he still hadnt done anything to anyone that grabbed him, so i went in. youll see my hit is way later than all the rest on him, i waited until i thought it was safe

I saw some evil people down there and I just sat there with 11.5m turrets and 35% weapons from turn 1400 to 1600. I would have had $30m if I hadn't been so cautious :) Just kidding, I would have been retaled 4 times and jetted.

yah lol, i had 8.5m turrets and those guys all still hit me. well, i guess i had fewer turrets with each successive hit

As the owner of Wild Hair, a couple things:

1) I like to say I have a general idea about what I'm doing. I'm pretty sure this hides the fact that I have no fluffing clue what I'm doing here.

2) This reset is the first time I've attacked anything in express. Historically I have always been all-x, and probably will be again in the future. In all fairness, with my history, combined with how my country looked when you hit it, I probably wasn't a bad target at all. Unfortunately, you wound up having bad luck with my whimsical decision to start retalling.

3) I was initially turned off by the high turret count, but I was surprised how far my various bonuses (PS, Dict, techs) went to making that distance up.

4) I considered retalling Asterix and Jayr fluffED my CAT, but I have no idea what generally accepted retal windows are on this server since I play it sparingly. As such, I wound up letting those go.

5) I probably would not have considered retalling anything had it not been for the double taps on me, first by Chibua and later the aforementioned Jayr country. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...

I thought your country looked good plus dangerous, but I just didn't see any sign of you taking retals, that's why I made my hit. Yah though, PS bonus and dict bonus goes pretty far esp with no def allies.

I think 36hr is a fair retal window but some people will wait all reset. Different strokes for different folks.

One thing I did accomplish this round I think is showing TDA that Theo casher does work :D

killyourspies is a good country.

nowadays you better have 10m turrets on 18k land and 14m on 22k land with 120 weapons at least to avoid some late retals.

killyourspies has a very strange startup, it made him look bad to me, like I said though, I was just fooled I guess. I'm not getting 14m turrets lol. Hmmm actually maybe I ould I dunno, I logged out with the money for it

I got fooled by him once and multi-tapped him.. lost my win after that. since then I only hit him once. lol. haven't got a retal from him yet tho.

I retal to deter future attacks. It is not my intention to purposely ruin anyone's set, nor is it to fool anyone into hitting me. I would rather not be hit.

It's pretty clear that I'm playing too fast and loose with my startup. Still learning from mistakes and adjusting as I go.

When I retal'd blid I had plenty of turrets and over a B in cash. I'm such a noob. After I bought out troops on private I accidentally millions of barrels instead of tanks with the leftover cash. This obviously hurt my finish.

It was a bit unusual of a start up. Do you go 1800 farms and then just explore out to 6000+ land? Then sell all the food and fill in labs?

Just throwing an idea out, but if you DID want to start that way, go commie, replace the farms with indies.

Food with no tech = 5.3 bushel/acre, sell for $40 say, that's 5.3 * 40 * .94 commission = $200/acre roughly.

Commie production = 1.86 turret/acre * 1.35 commie bonus * 140 turret price * .9 commission = $317/acre roughly.

You explored for how many turns? You built how many c-sites? We're talking hundreds of turns here, right?
