Ignoring the flippancy of your response, let's have a real talk about this. In my original post, I admitted straight up that Laf has a huge chunk of the best netters in the game. I don't think anyone who knows anything would dispute this. But the sheer arrogance of your(and many other Laffers) position is mind-boggling. Saying that Laf is the ONLY alliance with good netters is just stupid.

Look at the stats for a second. Who's the player with the best top 3 score? How many of the top 10 are Laffers? The top 20? I believe it is definitely not 100%....

Now add to that the fact that Evo absolutely dominates average networth on most real netting sets. Not always, like last set, or the massive trading set about two years ago, but most sets. Do you know the biggest reason we do so well in that category? Slagpit and a few others, like Tertius, Osso and our other strategists. Slagpit had an understanding of the ins and outs of the game that could rival any one of your best netters, I guarantee you. He had the single biggest impact on Evo's netting development and the work he did 3-4 years ago is still keeping us strong today.

Again, if you'd put your ego aside, you'd see that I'm not bashing Laf or saying you guys aren't good, cause you damn well are. Your top players are better than most, but to simply say that the ONLY good netters in this game play in Laf is absurd.

Not to try and jump in and say something negative about Evo, because they are a good alliance, but I would like to point out that while Slagpit was president/whatever of Evo that Evo often capitalized more than other alliances on newly implemented formula changes. Slagpit was a good player like others in Evo, but there was always the notion that he was passing on information to Evo as an alliance that might have otherwise been restricted to other alliances upon first instance.

Just my two cents on a divergent topic than what was intended by the Tella.

He may have done that. I honestly have no idea as it was well before my time. From what I've seen, however, Evo generally gets the info at the same time as everyone else. Maybe slagpit was different, but qz doesn't treat us any differently in this regard than he treats any other alliance. I, personally, get some info or ideas a bit ahead, but that's mostly because he asks my opinion and because of my position as a moderator.

Req, I'm posting this because Eug made an incredibly ridiculous statement, and his views are shared by many in Laf. This has been a fairly consistent viewpoint the entire 2.5 years I've been back in this game, and it has always been silly.

yeah as alliance leaders or whatever me and slagpit didn't really along at all lol. We had a lengthy discussion about keeping earth politics out of staff matters at the beginning but I digress.
