When I moved into my first house, there was a glass outer door that was closed inside the main wooden door that was open. We had our dogs in the backyard while the movers were unloading the boxes. When the movers were done and we let the dogs in from the backyard, both of them charged the front glass door, not seeing the glass, and got a simlar experience as that cat there.
