Since I have moved to Florida, I have been deprived of real cheesesteaks. There are lots of pizza and sub shops here that have it on their menu, but it's NOT the real deal.

Pet peeve #1 about it: The Rolls here SUCK hard. They tell me that it's the water that causes the major difference in the rolls. Might be, not a bakery expert so can't really tell.

Per peeve #2 about it: In Philly, they only put swiss cheese on the thing if you specifically ask for it. Otherwise, it's American Cheese, and if it's a really good shop, it's Cooper Sharp American Cheese.

Pet peeve #3 about it: They use that "Steak-ummm" crap instead of using rib-eye.

I am so missing a good cheesesteak. :(

We do not call our sandwiches subs, we call them hoagies.

I've heard that about Florida concerning the water being terrible for bread products. Walt Disney World has pretty awful pizza and that's the typical excuse as to why it sucks.

My next-door neighbor is from Philly. Every year when she and her sisters vacation on the Jersey Shore, they spend time with family in Philly. A cheesesteak is usually their first order of business.

And I'd pass on a cheesesteak for a fat stacjed, juicy reuben sandwich anyday- used to be Schlotzky's was titties but sadly, they have left central FL.

I'm on the Space Coast about 3 miles from Kennedy Space Center. And LittleItaly, where did I mention anything about a sandwich? I said "Cheesesteak", didn't I. And in Philly, they're still called hoagies, and I miss those too. Can't get decent Italian anything here.

It's so bad here with Italian products, I'm thinking about looking into getting an SBA loan and setting up something like DiBruno Brothers shop here. Since I'd be the only one in the market, it could be profitable.

I fish the Banana River,under the Beachline (528) bridge, alot thru spring-summer.
Gonna gave to meet up for some Porpoise Sammiches!!!

I know where that bridge is, Mufasa, I've fished there a time or two myself. Got a few decent Tilapia there, and fried them babies up good. :)

I have been over that Beachline bridge many times. Took that way to get Orlando, I can't stand the turnpike drive with 1 exit in 100 miles or so.
